Hello and Thank You for stopping by! I'm Rachel Irene just so you know where the "R.I." comes from. I've been an Artist since I was very young and even though in my early 20's I didn't pick up a pen or brush for awhile, I still found creativeness through being a professional hairstylist. I have found my passion working with aging seniors and provide hair care for the residents two days a week at a senior living facility. On the other days I work at a local community center/gym and I'm currently finishing up my personal training certification. I have a cozy little studio building in my hometown where I work from and occasionally clean up my mess and open the doors for an art show & a few of my favorite things. Expressing art through freehand pen & ink drawings is my most favorite medium. I create custom home drawings, capturing every little detail from the flowers to the porch light. I like to step away from paper and draw on wooden plates from time to time. I'm a bit unconventional if you will. In the past few years I've been known for my artistic stationery that I create and have printed at a local printery. My small-town roots inspire me to infuse local charm into every piece, making each drawing a unique representation of my community. There's just something I've always loved, receiving mail and sending mail. Ever receive that one card you just can't throw away? Maybe it is because of the front cover that you feel like it needs to be framed. Maybe it is the note inside and how it was written or who it is written from that has special meaning. If someone has been on your mind, pick up a note card & a pen and just write. A handwritten note is just like taking a walk with a friend...the writer can get as much joy as the receiver.
